DESCRIPTION:Inspired by Nature – A Collection of Artworks by Linda and Scott Hartman\nThursday\, March 27\, 2025 – Sunday\, April 20\, 2025 \nOpening reception: Saturday\, April 5 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM \n  \nGallery Hours: 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM \n  \nAbout the Artists\nAfter 33 years of successful years working as art teachers in the Brentwood\, School District\, artists\, Scott and Linda Hartman\, have focused their retirement years on creating\, exhibiting\, and selling their own original artworks. Their inspiration for the art exhibited in this show\, “Inspired By Nature\,” reflects a variety of landscapes\, still-life images\, fiber landscapes\, and natural wood furniture created in various media (watercolors\, acrylics\, fiber and wood). The artist’s goal is to interpret nature through well designed works of art that remind viewers of the beauty of the world around us. \n

DESCRIPTION:Ikebana: Japanese Flower Arrangements\n\nAdult Education \nSaturday\, March 29\, 2025 | 1:30-2:30 PM \nCost: $65 per person \n  \n \nEnroll in Ikebana Japanese Flower Arrangement Workshop \n  \n  \nJoin Hiroko & Gerard Senese -from the Japan Center at Stony Brook University- for a demonstration of the different styles of Japanese flower arrangements; and a workshop to create your own Ikebana based on an arrangement that has been designed on that day. \nLearn about the history\, concepts\, principles\, and aesthetics behind each arrangement\, and the relationship of the flowers to the seasons & to each particular vase being used. \n  \n  \n\n\nFees cannot be refunded for participant cancellation or any other reason. In the event of extreme weather\, class location may be moved indoors or a weather-related make-up date will be scheduled for no additional cost to the registrant.\nTransactions will be processed through the Natural Heritage Trust as a donation on behalf of Bayard Cutting Arboretum.\nFor any additional questions\, contact our Education Coordinator K.T.
