SUMMARY:The Way of Watercolor: Wildlife
DESCRIPTION:The Way of Watercolor: Wildlife\nWednesdays\, November 5\, 2025 – December 17\, 2025 \n10:00 AM – 12:00 PM \nAdults (Ages 15+) \n  \nCost: $240 per person for the entire 6-week series \nENROLL IN THE WAY OF WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP \n  \nAbout the Workshop\nTeresa Cromwell has been a practicing watercolor artist since 2006. She has exhibited and won awards in various shows across Long Island. She is a Signature member of the Pennsylvania\, Philadelphia\, Northeast\, and Rhode Island Watercolor Societies. \nStudents will learn basic skills in watercolor. This will include learning techniques to create washes\, mix colors\, and handle various tools to create different effects. These techniques will be applied to creating paintings of wildlife. \nSupplies are not included in the cost of the workshop. Please see the supply list for details below. \nAll skill levels are welcome! \n  \nSupply List\nThe following supplies are recommended. If a student has supplies they are currently comfortable working with\, they may bring those. The instructor will introduce and review\nsupplies on day one. Recommended Stores: Michael’s\, Blick Art Materials\, Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff\, and Jerry’s Artarama. \nBasic Supplies:\n● High Quality Watercolor Paper *Important*\n○ Recommended Brand: Arches Cold Pressed 140 lb.\n○ 30”x22” can be cut into smaller pieces\n○ Also sold in pre-cut ‘blocks’\n● Watercolor Brushes\n○ Recommended Brands: Princeton\, Silver Brush: Black Velvet or synthetic brands\n○ Round brushes (sizes 6\, 8\, 10)\n○ 1” or 2” Flat wash brush\n○ Assortment of flats or scrubber brushes\n● Watercolor Paint\n○ Recommended Brands: Winsor Newton\, Holbein\, and Daniel Smith\n○ Primary Colors (The basics needed to get started): Indanthrene Blue\, Permanent\nAlizarin Crimson\, Permanent Rose\, New Gamboge\, Raw Sienna.\n○ Additional Colors (Options to build a bigger palette): Lavender\, Shadow Green\,\nBlue Horizon\, Lemon Yellow\, Burnt Sienna\, Burnt Umber\, Cascade Green\, Cobalt\nTurquoise\, Cobalt Turquoise Light\, Mineral Violet\, Cerulean Blue. \nAdditional Supplies:\n● Spray Bottle\n● Small Flat Toothbrush\n● Paint Palette\n● Painting Board\n● Masking Tape\n● Paper Towels \nFor questions regarding the supply list\, please contact the instructor via e-mail at teresajcromwell@yahoo.com. \n  \n  \n\n1.
