The Bayard Cutting Arboretum & Bayard Cutting Arboretum Historical Society Present
Evolution of the American Landscape: Gardening in the 21st Century
March 2, 2020
We will be holding our third Evolution of the American Landscape horticultural symposium, on March 2, 2020. This full-day symposium will feature prominent speakers that have created and managed landscapes to adapt to a changing environment.
“Long Island Parks have experienced hurricanes, increased population pressure, and insect infestations. Our plants and landscape designs must change and evolve to meet these challenges so that we can continue to enjoy our private and public gardens,”
– Nelson Sterner, Director, Bayard Cutting Arboretum
Our symposium speakers are a diverse group of published authors, botanical garden directors, and landscape architects who have worked on all types of garden projects ranging from small residential gardens to large-scale projects.
Attendees are eligible to receive the following credits (TBA):
American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA)
Certified Nursery & Landscape Professionals (CNLP)
International Society of Arboriculture (ISA)
NYS DEC Pesticide Applicator Recertification
All profits from this event support the Bayard Cutting Arboretum.
