About Photographer, Raymond Germann
About Raymond Germann excerpt from his official website.
My photography obsession began in 1978 as I started taking pictures of my newborn son. Soon afterwards my interest spread to fine art and documentary photography. I took classes including black and white darkroom at several colleges which included studying printing at the New School with George Tice. This enabled me to sharpen my darkroom skills.
I eventually bought a large format 4×5 camera to photograph landscapes. I used this camera for twenty years, however I switched to digital photography in 2010 and have been since. I feel the wet darkroom experience has helped me with the transition to digital printing.
I’ve been exhibiting more than thirty years in colleges, museums, galleries, etc., and have work in several museum collections Including the New-York Historical Society, Bibliotheque Nationale,Paris, New York Public Library, Suffolk County Historical Society, The Adirondack Museum, the New York State Historical Association, Molloy College, Heckscher Museum, and the Nature Conservancy-New York State region
I have several series I continue to work on as previewed in the web site.
About Master Craftsman, David Ebner
Biography excerpt from David Ebner’s official website
David N. Ebner is an artist/craftsman who works in four modes: classical impressions of furniture, turned objects, sculptural furniture, and furniture. “I approach my art intuitively as well as intellectually, drawing inspiration wherever I find it. I’ve explored a variety of directions and themes over the years, but each piece is treated as an art object with concern for my material and honesty to its inherent qualities. For me, one’s creative ability is demonstrated in the diversity of the pieces and what one learns from change”.
