Golden hour is a unique window of time in which the warm color of the low sun is often considered desirable to enhance the colors of photography, adding vibrancy to your images. Coincidently, this is also one of the most magical hours here at Bayard Cutting Arboretum; shortly after the park gates are closed and the natural environment comes to life.

For these reasons, we invite you to join us for a unique opportunity to practice photography with your smartphone or digital camera after park hours. Participants can expect to get an introduction to essential skills in photography and the chance to apply them the same day.

This event is intended for nature photography only; no portrait photography is permitted. Participants will be given a high amount of freedom to explore the park in pursuit of their perfect moment. However, some areas are off limits and certain restrictions are applied.
