About the Workshop
En plein air (French for “in the open air”) is the act of painting outdoors on location. Popularized by the French Impressionists, this method requires you to work quickly to capture the fleeting, dynamic effects of natural light.
Bayard Cutting Arboretum is full of uniquely beautiful landscapes that are sure to strike inspiration into the heart of any artist. With the guidance of award-winning artist Anthony Davis, participants will learn skills such as composition, color harmony, value, and atmospheric perspective.
