What are your hours?
We are open Tuesday – Sunday, however, hours change seasonally.For more information please visit our Hours & Fees information page.
Is there a parking fee?
The $8 parking fee (vehicle use fee) is collected weekends until Memorial Day. From Memorial Day through Labor Day it is collected every day. From Labor Day through November it is again only collected on weekends.
Seniors (62+) can receive a parking pass for use Tuesday through Friday with a valid NYS Drivers License.
Can I bring my dog?
No pets of any kind are allowed on Arboretum property.
What is the Empire Passport?
The Empire Passport is $80. It is a card that should be placed on the driver’s side rear window and it allows the vehicle it is attached to free entry to all New York State Parks and Recreation facilities. The Empire Pass does not cover the cost of camping, golf, swimming, etc. It can be purchased at the Arboretum, inside the Manor House, Tuesday – Sunday from 10 a.m. until thirty minutes before the Arboretum closes.
What is the Golden Access Program?
All vehicles transporting a senior citizen with a current New York State I.D. are allowed free entry on weekdays. At Bayard our weekdays are Tuesday – Friday because we are closed on Mondays.
Can I take my wedding pictures there?
Yes, there is a $200 permit involved and limited spaces available. For more information and an application please visit our Wedding and Photography Permits information page.
Can I host an event at the Arboretum?
Yes, however, there are room rental fees and limited spaces available. You can download the room rental application here.
