About the workshop
Join us at Bayard Cutting Arboretum for a 6-week mindfulness-based education program. Each class in this series is split into three parts; first storytime with a social-emotional theme, followed by a mindfulness practice such as yoga or breathing techniques, and lastly a fun activity that incorporates elements from the surrounding arboretum environment.
Parents are required to remain with children for the duration of the class. This series is best intended for ages 2-7 and is a rain-or-shine event. It is always wise to dress for a mess!
Educational Outcomes:
● Practice mindfulness tools to improve emotional regulation skills.
● Develop the ability to process and integrate sensory information through play.
● Foster a deeper appreciation and connection to the changing seasons.
- Fees cannot be refunded for participant cancellation or any other reason. In the event of extreme weather, class location may be moved indoors or a weather-related make-up date will be scheduled for no additional cost to the registrant.
- Transactions will be processed through the Natural Heritage Trust as a donation on behalf of Bayard Cutting Arboretum.
