About the Workshop
Bayard Cutting Arboretum welcomes Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) to complete the requirements needed to earn their Soil and Water Conservation Merit Badge.
Scouts will explore topics such as erosion, watersheds, aquifers, water pollution, and water treatment. They will also learn about the importance of plants in soil and water conservation.
Scouts are asked to wear Class B attire, bring a bagged lunch, a field journal, a pen, and a blue card signed by their Scoutmaster. It is also recommended that Scouts review requirements 1, 2a-c, 5a, and 6a-c ahead of the program as to contribute to our discussion.
