About the Secret Stories of Trees
Every tree at Bayard Cutting Arboretum has a special story to tell.
Some were brought to this country by the early plant explorers. Some were part of collaborative relationships with other arboreta. Some have been saved from extinction. Some have very important relationships with native wildlife. Some possess botanical oddities that will not be found on other trees. Some were the life’s work of passionate plant breeders.
Join Kevin Wiecks, Director of Bayard Cutting Arboretum, for a PowerPoint presentation, walking tour, and discussion of some of the most special trees at BCA. The stories are guaranteed to provide participants with a new perspective on the trees they may have been looking at for years.
